Our Beliefs
We believe god is the creator of all things, and the life force for all things. We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the world. We believe that the Holy Spirit is present with us to counsel and encourage us.
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal second person of the Trinity, was fully united with human nature by a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived in perfect obedience to the Father, voluntarily paid the price for the sins of all people by dying on the cross as their substitute, and satisfied divine justice, bringing salvation to all who trust in Him alone. After His physical death, Jesus Christ rose from the dead and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father as the only intercessor between God and humans. He promises to return to earth, personally and visibly, to fulfill history and the eternal plan of God.
We believe we can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error. The bible is our road map given by God to show us how to live during this life.
The Church is a local, passionate community of baptized believers unified through faith in Jesus Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of what he commanded. the Church seeks to bring the Gospel to the whole world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power for living the life God intended, understanding/guidance of spiritual truth, and showing us what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily and seek him in everything.
We believe all People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God through our sin or eternally with God by forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God means existing in hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. We believe Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence & should be talked about.
